Like I don't have enough "projects"!!

When I was at the craft show, I spotted this little book on Tatting. Actually it is 8 1/2 x 11 inches, but it only has 28 pages. I found this is a great book to teach yourself tatting. It came as a kit, with a packet of 4 different tatting needles. (Tatting needles are blunt like tapestry needles, but these needles are 5 inches long, and are the same thickness from the point to the eye.) I guess there are a couple different types of tatting, this is Needle Tatting. I made a couple practice rings and then during Superbowl I made the little orange piece laying on the book.

The little thing I made will be a bookmark, I need to string a ribbon down through the center where the needle is. Below my bookmark is the package of needles and threader that came with the book.
This is an up-close view of my tatting. My rings are not all the same size, and the loops are not even either, but I'm pretty pleased with this first piece. It measures about 1 inch wide, and 2 1/2 inches long. It did get faster to make as I made more rings. But can you imaging having to make this if you wanted a little bit of lace at the neck of your dress??
On another note, as I was logging in, I noticed that this is blog number 99! That means my next blog is number 100! Seems to me that is a milestone that needs to be celebrated! So to celebrate, I will have a give-away. I'm not sure what it will be yet, but I hope you will like it, and want to enter into the drawing. Hmm, Fabric... ohhh, CHOCOLATE! Quilty stuff?? Maybe I can find a neat book? Hmmmm!
Hugs!
